Description: This online lesson is centred around an online animation that explains what goes on inside computers. The lesson contains a built in comprehension, reflection and discussion questions that can be customised by individual teachers. 

 

Critique: It is vital that students become producers and not just consumers of content and one way to promote this is by teachers developing lessons that ensure that students understand how the technology that they are using works (ACARA, 2014). The lesson would be effective as a flipped learning experience  as students could watch the video and complete thw quiz by themselves at home and then share and building on their reflections in class (Hwang, Lai and Wang, 2015). It is a useful starting point for independent learning as the video uses language and visuals clearly to promote understanding and the lesson questions and components following the video can be customised to cater for students with different levels of experience and understanding.
