Critique: Our "digital native" (Prensky, 2001) students learn by interacting with technology and prefer to receive information quickly, therefore the use of self-paced internet tutorials like Welcome to the Web: Using your Browser are highly beneficial for classroom use (Ng, 2012). This tutorial could be used by primary classroom teachers to teach students about the features of different IT Internet browsers, by enabling students to independently work through the interactive content using different web browsers (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting, 2014). Students could then apply their learning from the tutorial to select a browser that is most useful to them to use when searching the Internet on different devices.
